Your undergarments are just as important as your top layer of clothing. They should fit well and provide support.
Periodically take stock. Stretched elastic? Pit stains? Faded colors? Toss it! Your underwear should look good - even if no one sees it but you.

I agree. Also, if you are fully clothed, no one should be able to see your underwear anyways, i.e. women that wear "granny panties" instead of thongs under tight clothing or guys that wear jeans two sizes too big (on purpose) and have their boxers showing all the live long day. Not a good fashion statement there.
